The Ogdensburg International Airport expansion is progressing on schedule. The $20 million project, which includes a 1,200’ runway extension, relocating a section of Route 68, and an expansion of the terminal, will be completed on October 1, 2016. The expansion project will allow low-cost carriers, such as Allegiant Airlines, to provide direct flight to Florida from Ogdensburg. It is projected that some 30,000 to 40,000 tourists – primarily our Canadian friends to the North – will use the airport each year for direct flights to the Sunshine State.
