As the Great Depression came to a close in 1936, father and son Sam and Ted Goldstein began “Ted’s Friendly Service”, initiating a presence in the parking industry, which continues to the present. Although the company name changed over time, the successor Rick continues to pursue a path of steady growth. MAPCO has many years of parking operations expertise, operating both structured and surface parking areas for private owners, municipalities, hospitals, medical offices, special event facilities, and airports.

Some of the Airport locations in which we have helped to develop the parking operation include: Westchester County Airport, Elmira Corning Regional Airport, and the Greater Rochester International Airport. In the past, we have managed a number of ramp garages and surface lots owned by the City of Rochester. We continue to own and operate our own surface lots, as well as the Civic Center garage located in downtown Rochester. This location is attached directly to the Blue Cross Arena, giving us significant special event parking expertise.

MAPCO also has a proven record of managing Valet programs. Six years ago, we developed, priced, and introduced the Valet Parking Service at the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC). This program has secured loyal business and vacation travelers who are willing to pay for a customer service experience unlike any other. Our Valet customers appreciate the service our staff provides on a daily basis and cannot overemphasize the remarkable experience they have with our customer oriented staff. Additionally, MAPCO has run a number of Valet operations for corporate events, fundraisers, dinners, and the like. We continue to build relationships with our clients and customers based on Honesty, Integrity, Service and Accountability, far exceeding their expectations.

MAPCO is organized with a President/CEO to oversee the day-to-day operations and to develop the business. Facilities managers, day and night supervisors, cashiers, maintenance personnel, technicians, IT support, and shuttle drivers comprise the organization. Our administrative staff located at 488 White Spruce Blvd in Rochester, NY monitors and operates the networked revenue and control systems related to auditing, human resources, accounting, marketing and information technology.

Our mission has been to maximize the financial return for our clients by: establishing proper pricing policies, implementing tight revenue controls, and setting up workable budgets. MAPCO Auto Parks Ltd has the in-depth experience to work with owners and local decision makers to assist them in planning parking programs that solve problems. The elements of our success can be found in some of the innovations and practices that we have developed over the years.
